I often hear that people want to know what inspires my art. It is difficult to express in words, so I made a drawing.

If I don't have an idea what to draw, I make a drawing about not having an idea.

 

 

 

 

My storyteller friend Marianne Christensen visited today. I told her that I want to make drawing videos, and complained about how difficult it is for me to "just talk". Partly because I am German living in Denmark communicating in English, so that often words in the wrong language pop into my head. The other problem is that I'm not using my voice much. Yesterday I started to draw a "how to make fermented Sauerkraut", while I listened to Mary Schiller talking about pesky thoughts, and I jotted down the sentence "they don't know whom they are talking to". And all of a sudden the cabbage got a different meaning...
